Copper Sky Development

The Copper Sky multi-use development has been strategically positioned, designed and rezoned with the primary focus on meeting immediate housing demand through the construction of new, energy efficient apartments, townhomes and duplexes laid out in a comprehensive community setting.

Copper Sky multi-use development is comprised of 368.5 acres and is a comprehensive residential and business plan-community designed to be built in phases to meet residential and commercial market demand. 

Extensive research and analysis supports the need and desire for long and short-term multifamily housing in and around Douglas. A total of 1,344 residential units are planned, 81% of which is comprise of multifamily residence.

At full build out Copper Sky is projected to accommodate 3,000-4,000 residents providing both scalability and sustainability despite the current economic climate. This will provide the following opportunities for investor/develop and Cochise County:

Only development (investment) property located between the area’s three primary economic drivers (Cochise College, U.S. Homeland Security/Border Patrol Station, CANAMEX Transportation Corridor;

Only development positioned to offset Douglas’ current and future multifamily housing gap;
Only development positioned to offer commercial office space for new businesses;
Only development to position to offer diverse housing options;

Entitlements/rezoning have been obtained from the Cochise County Board of Supervisors. The Douglas Regional Economic Development Corporation is working with Copper Sky and City of Douglas officials to incorporate the project site by extending city limits and services.
